A journey that began with small groups of women and evolved with their needs.
From the beginning, our goal was not to reach hundreds of women through short-term training, but to develop 6–12 month programs shaped around women’s needs and addressing both economic and social participation.
We began our first program with just six women. Textile and sewing were the first tools in this journey, but our focus has always been on listening to women, understanding their needs, and building stronger connections between knowledge, skills, income opportunities, and social support.
What we learned from women has continued to shape and expand KEP’s programs and areas of work.

Creating pathways to sustainable income.
Today, KEP works beyond vocational training, developing diverse programs that support women in creating sustainable income pathways. Our work with women producers continues alongside KEP Textile Atelier and our broader programs for women’s economic and social participation.
